Easter Finally :)

We had a really good Easter this year. My brother Shane and his family came and they got us tickets to the Saturday morning session of conference. My mom and Melanie were nice enough to watch all the boys while we went. Heather and her family came on Saturday. The crazy kids colored some Easter Eggs. 12 dozen to be exact :) I didn't get any pic of that but it was a lot of eggs. We had some yummy food and had an Easter egg hunt. Here is Nathan blowing some bubbles for Ryan and Brandon on Easter morning. It was fun to get to know these little cuties. They are at such and cute age and it's fun to see twins interact with each other. I love them!!!

So Nathan thinks he gets to ask the easter bunny for things like it's Christmas. He had to have this wii steering wheel and if you notice he is wearing a mario shirt too. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to buy him that shirt but he loves it. He doesn't even trust me to put it in the washer he has to do it. It's a bit to big for him and one of the first day he had it he went up to Kevin and said hey dad do you like my mario dress? Ha Ha Ha.
Here is Benner and his first Easter. He sure did like watching everyone look for eggs and finding a few stray jelly beans on the floor. Yum floor food.

Seattle

I took a trip to Seattle with 4 of my sisters, my mom and my Aunt Barbara. Kevin was nice enough to take time of work just to watch the boys. I was a little scared about leaving them for that long. Not that Kevin wouldn't do an awesome job but because I would miss them so much. I did fine and the boys had tons of fun with their dad. We did lots of stuff that we hadn't ever done before and got to hang out with just the girls. This is me at the Space Needle. I would not recommend this to anyone. Sure go to it and look at it from the ground but don't pay the 17 bucks to go up to the top.

Here is mom, Kim and Heather at the top. We only spent about 15 minutes up at the top and we could have left in like 3. Anyway...

This was our last adventure right before we had to leave to come home. Melanie found this place where they "help" you do glass blowing. I think this was most of the girls favorite thing. This is a pic of me trying to keep the blog of glass on the end of the pipe. Our teacher had been doing this for 13 years. His name was Shane. We also had another guy helping some of us named Jake.
Here are Jana, Heather, and Kim waiting their turn don't they look excited.

My favorite thing about Seattle is Pike Place. It's so fun just to sit back and watch people and everything is so pretty. Look at all these fresh veggies they always look so beautiful.

At the market they have these huge bunches of flowers for 5 bucks. Jana bought these and brought them back to our hotel to enjoy while we were there.
This is a little gross but interesting at the same time. This whole wall is covered in gum. It's right outside of Pike Place. If you look at Kim's face in this pic she looks totally grossed out. She was trying to smile but I don't think she could get past the grossness of the gum.
It didn't seem to bother me or Jana.
So we started out with a "Duck Tour". This is where you ride around in this vehicle that can drive on the road and then goes right in to the water. It was really fun. We got to see Seattle and act stupid. It was freezing cold but I think it was totally worth it.

Thanks Kevin for letting me go. You are the bestest ever :)

Watch out for the steaming ones.

So Natalie said I need to add a little detail to my story. So the second time Nate pooped in his underwear I was walking to make sure nothing had come out behind the recliner and squish I stepped in a big pile of you know what!!! Between my toes and everything. I reclaim my post about nathan being potty trained :) That poor kid I feel bad I haven't been the nicest mom while kevin has been gone but would you be if you stepped in your kids poop. Sorry my last few post have been about poop but that's the life of a mother. I feel like if I'm not cleaning up poop I'm not doing my job. Well I guess that's enough of that. Happy pooping to all. Yes I'm trying to set a record on how many times I can say poop in one post. OK I'm really done now.

Spidie senses

Kevin has been out of town for the past couple of days and it's been kinda hard. Besides being tired from taking care of the boys by myself all the time I don't sleep very well when Kevin is gone. I swear Nate has spidie senses he knows how to push my buttons. He wanted his friends Jack and Spencer to come over after playgroup yesterday and all he did was cry the whole time that he wanted to watch a movie. Spencer said "why does tator keep saying show". So after they left he was still screaming until he fell asleep. I was done and it was only 4:30 four and a half hours til bedtime :( We ate dinner and he was really good so I made him go potty and let him play his computer and not 20 minutes later he pooped in his underwear. I lost it. I screamed at him and threw him in the tub :( Then today. Today started out awesome he woke up happy and went over to Aston's house to play. No accidents he even said when I picked him up "mom I had a good day" so cute. He was really good all day. Until during dinner he snuck off and pooped in his underwear again. I mean seriously what the heck. I'm very grateful that Ben as been good (knock on wood). Nate would never do this is Kevin was here. Oh well only 2 nights and 2 days left. Wish me luck.

Random Pictures

These are some random pictures. I was really bored and started playing with the editing stuff on my computer. If you are a professional don't look too close but I think they are cute. Mostly because they are of my boys.

On a side note today Nate broke Kevins heart. He was watching Disney Channel and the Jonas Brothers came on and he said "look mom it's The Beatles" I said to him "nope that's the Jonas Brothers" he said matter of factly "no look it's John and Ringo". This kid kills me.

Yipee!!!

Nate is finally there with the potty training. He gets to play Wii when he goes poop so he goes like 3 or 4 times a day. We had to buy a timer so he wasn't playing all day. He's doing awesome. He wakes up with a dry pull up and the only accident he had was when we were traveling. (knock on wood). It was hard but I think he finally has it. I say this like it was forever when we really just started working on it the second week of January and he has been doing good for the last 2 weeks :) It was hard to see an end in sight at the start. I am such a pessimist sometimes.

We have all been sick for the last couple of days so that hasn't been fun. Ben is usually such a happy baby but lately he has been very very fussy. I thought he was getting teeth but they haven't popped out yet. Kevin fed him some frosty last night and he loved it but all night he was awake crying and this morning I couldn't get him to stop. I think he likes frosty but the frosty doesn't like him. He is trying to crawl but just sort rolls from side to side while inching slowly forward. He's so cute and chubby I love him.

Nathan wanted to sing the Super Mario song in church the other week that was super funny. No one could understand what they were saying so they came and got me and he said I want to sing mario mom. This child is addicted to Wii. You gotta love him.

Potty Training and Update

We have been potty training Nate for about 3 weeks now. He is doing so so so awesome at the pee part of it but the poop not so much. Just when I think we are doing good he poops in his pull up or underwear again. I'm so frustrated because I know that he knows what to do he is just so stubborn. Anyone have any suggestions???

Anyway Ben is doing really good. He's so chubby and cute. He rolls all over the place and laughs all the time he is such a good little guy. His head is in the 99% weight 59% and height 31%. I bet half his weight is in that giant head of his. We had a rough spot with him not sleeping through the night but he's back to normal (knock on wood).

Nathan started primary and he is doing so good. The first week they said it's singing time and Tator jumps up and says "Yet's sing Yellow Submarine" it was so funny. He gave a talk last week and he did so good. He even told his dad what it was about after church. He also had his first kiss (not in primary). His friend Macie was over playing and when she was getting ready to leave they hugged, then he kissed her shoulder, then their eyes met and then came the big wet one...it was the cutest thing ever. I just love my little boys. They make me so happy :)
