Father's Day

Today is Father's Day!! After our little mother's day happenings with Nate at church I was a little worried that Father's Day would be the same. Nope Nate went right up to the front and gave us a little wave and a thumbs up. He even tried to sing the words to the songs :) It was so cute (Kevin must be his favorite). Kevin is such a good dad and I'm so lucky to have him in my life. He is so good with the boys and he loves them so much. Happy Father's Day Sweets!!

Here are the questions and answers that Nate filled out in primary for Father's Day:

My Father is 3 years old.
My father likes to play wii with me.
The funniest thing I ever saw my dad do was splash in the water.
I like it when my dad plays Chuck E Cheese.
My dad's favorite food is noodles.
My dad is as strong as Mario.
If I could give my dad anything, I'd give him a flash light.
I think my dad would like to play lots of stuff.
My dad dislikes he hates knocking on peoples houses.
The thing I hear my dad say the most is Mario Sunshine.
My dad is smart! He even knows watch some shows.
When my dad wakes up he plays wii again.
I love my dad because he loves walmart.

These answers are almost the same as the ones he answered for mother's day. This kids loves loves loves Wii.

Fun Weekend

We started our weekend early by going to good ole Rock Springs to buy and trailer. We have been wanting one for a while and we found one we really liked so we went for it. Here are some pics of it. It kinda broke the first time Kevin tried to show me it but he fixed it.

On Friday we went down to Vernal to a ward thing. This lady in our ward parents have a house there. They have some awesome animals and a cute little train. Nate loved the train to say the least he road it a every time it was going. I heard he even made a death defying leap to make it just before the train took off without him. He also loved the swings. Kevin was the favorite at the swings because he would do underdogs. Thanks Michelle and family for the invite we had a blast.

Then we headed up to Flaming Gorge to go camping with the Maxwells and the Kols. It was pouring rain the first night and part of the next day. We just hung out in the trailer while Topher cooked and Kevin assisted. By the time breakfast was over (1100) the rain had stopped and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The kids fed the chipmunks and went for walks to throw rocks in the water. They had so much fun and were good most of the time. Here is a picture of Ben chilling out in the big boy chair. He was such a good baby and was happy just hanging out in his back pack most of the time. Sorry I don't have more pictures I wasn't all that good at taking them this time.

The Kols took off on Monday while I ran back to RS to pick up my moms raft and drop Ben off so we could go on the river. Rafting has been on my friend Natalie's vision board for a while now and we tried last year to go but didn't. She wasn't sure she wanted to go because of the weather but we talked her into it and it couldn't have been a better day to go. Here are the Maxwells, Macie did not want her picture taken can you tell?

Here is Jana and Nate. Jana came along for the ride. Nate and Hazel actually slept for a little bit down the river.

Nate and dad are like 2 peas in a pod. Nate loves his dad so much. He wants to do whatever he does it's so cute.

I'm going to add some more pics once I get the from my friends but for now this will have to do.

Moment

I'm sure that most of you moms reading this have had those moments when you fall more in love with your kids. Well the other day we were just eating dinner like normal. I'm sure I yelled at the boys more than once while cooking and eating. We were having sausage gravy and biscuits (one of nate's favorite and the first time ben had tried it). As we were trying to convince nate to eat the rest of his dinner I looked over at Ben and he had the cutest smile and I looked him and said "Hi Ben". He screamed with happiness and clapped his grubby, chubby little hands together. I just melted. He was so so so cute. At that moment I fell more in love with that crazy little man. Even when he was covered in gravy which I knew someone was going to have to clean up. That's all, I just wanted to remember that little moment.

Mother's Day

So today was Mother's day. When we were trying to have a baby I was always so sad on Mother's day. I was Jealous of all the moms that got to see their kids sing in sacrament meeting and the cute mother's day things that they made in primary. This was my first Mother's Day with Nate being in primary. I was so excited to see him sing and get my little gift. Well it didn't happen quite like I pictured. Nate had to be coaxed into going up to sing and instead of singing he played in the curtains (We have some construction going on and have sacrament meeting in the gym). I ended up making my own craft because Nate would have nothing to do it with it. He was screaming and being kind of a mean boy in primary. He wouldn't sit in his seat all he wanted to do was follow me or lay on the floor because he needed a "rest". I had to help him fill out this cute questionnaire they do every year in primary for the moms and here is what he said:
1)My mom is 3 years old.
2)My mother likes to play wii.
3)The most fun or funniest I ever saw my mom do was play wii
4)I like it when my mom plays at Chuck E Cheese
5)My mom's favorite food is pizza
6)My mom is as beautiful as Princess Peach
7)If I could give my mom anything , I'd give her some blobs
8)I think my mom would like to go to Chuck E Cheese
9)My mom dislikes the wii
10)The thing I hear my mom say most is SHHHHH
11)My mom is smart! She even knows how to play wii
12)When my mom wakes up she plays wii
13)I love my mom because I'm your mom

Can you tell what's on this boys mind all the time :) I'm pretty sure the only reason Chuck E Cheese is thrown in a few times was because we went there yesterday for his cousin's birthday :)These answers made my day. Even though the day wasn't going how I pictured it it was still perfect I love being a mom and I love my boys. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Feeding the boys

Ok so I need some suggestions. One of the daily tasks that I find the hardest is to figure out what to feed the boys. It's sort of overwhelming to know that I have to make 3 meals a day and snacks that are not only good for them but that they will actually eat. Sure I could feed Nathan and Ben noodles for every meal and that would make them happy but not me. So my request is if you have any meals that your kids will eat that are good for them let me know cause I can use all the help I can get :)

I can't win :)

This is what I found when I got out of the bathroom the other day. Yes that is Ben balancing on tator's potty stool to try and play wii. He's starting early. I can't win.

Can I just say that this swingset has been the best money we have spent in a long time. Now instead of saying mom can I play wii first thing in the morning Nate runs outside before I'm even out of bed to play :) So fun!!Yes, Nate is in his underwear and his famous "Mario" shirt. White trash I know but still cute.
