Disneyland!!!

We finally made it to the Happiest Place on Earth!!! A year ago we told Nate when he turned 4 we could go to Disneyland. We took just Nate with us and had a blast!!!
Here we are on the train. This was actually the last night we were there and we were riding the train around the park to avoid the crowds and rest or poor feet.
How many people can you fit in a tea cup??? The answer is 7. Kevin not pictured because he can't do spinny rides.
Nate with Sully. He wasn't so sure about it but he humored us :) The picture doesn't show it real well but he backed up right under sully belly and was leaning forward.
Some of us girls took the little ones back to the hotel and the boys went crazy. So crazy they broke splash mountain. They were acting like the bobsled team and busted the ride on their fourth time around. Here they are sitting on the ride with the lights on while they tried to repair it but they ended up having to walk out. Way to go guys.
This is Toy Story Midway Mania. This was one of Nate's favorite rides. We went on it about a million times good thing it was my favorite also.

The Beach

We had a pre-vacation vacation. We got to Cali a day before we were going to disneyland so we went to the beach. While we were there we saw a ton of bird flying around and Kevin yells "look a whale" It wasn't a whale but there must have been about 40 dolphins. It was hard to get pictures but here is the best we have :)
We found a hula hoop so here is Bronwyn showing us how it's done.

We had so much fun this year. The pumpkin patch, the friend party, the family party, going to dad's work but we found out that we went a little overboard when Nate wouldn't go trick or treating cause he was sick of it. Oh well live and learn. I hope everyone had a exciting and safe halloween.

First Day of Preschool!!!

Nates first day of preschool!! Where does the time go? I swear just yesterday we were wishing we could even have a baby. Now we have 2 and Nate is going to preschool. Nate was so excited to go to school today. He picked out his shirt and we went shopping for the perfect back pack. If any of you know Nate you know this is the perfect back pack. Kevin asked Nate if he wanted this one or a different one and Nate said "Dad if you see something with Mario Kart Wii on it you should always buy it". So we did :)

Here is Nate and his first day of school shirt. He picked this one because it has lots of 2's on it. Kevin took him to breakfast and he was super giggly. He thought everything dad said was super funny. I think he was just really excited for school. When I dropped him off I went in with him and he had no cares in the world. There were 2 other boys already there and they were off. He was so excited to be there I couldn't even be sad. I just said bye Nate can I have a hug and he said nope love you mom:)
This was his favorite game at the preschool carnival Miss Alby had for her new kids a few weeks ago. This got Nate pumped up for the first day.

Flaming Gorge!!

We went to Flaming Gorge last month and Nate got to meet Smokey the Bear!!! He was the only kid that got to have his picture taken with him. We learned about good fire and bad fire. Topher will be glad to know that Nathan now knows that your arm being on fire is bad and candles on a birthday cake is good fire.
We had so much fun hanging out and going out on the boat. Unfortunately I never had my camera at the actual lake and I'm not that good at remembering to take pictures anyway. Here are some of the cute boys playing in Luke's FJ. There was only one little drama when one of them decided it was a good idea to spray Bear spray in the others eyes. The area was evacuated quickly and all was good once the bear spray cleared.
Here is my messy little Beans. He did really good camping but he sure was dirty. Oh well he's still cute.
This was the cage we set up for the kids to play in and it worked really well for a little while. Ben really only liked it if the other kids would stay in there with him.

Ben's first birthday!!

WOW time flies when your having fun!! Ben is 1!!! Ben is such a funny little thing. He loves to pound on things and carry around spoons or drum sticks and hit things with them. The other day Nate was yelling"Ben stop that you are hurting me" I said to Nate " He's just a baby he's not hurting you" I turned around to see what was happening and Ben was whacking Nate over and over with a drum stick with the biggest smile on his face.

We had Ben's party at my sister's house early because Kevin was going out of town. It was great!!! Heather made both of the cakes :) Yes ben had 2 cakes for his first birthday. The one is a sandbox cake and the other an octopus cake. Kevin even helped decorate them.


This face he's making in this picture is what Kevin and Nate do when they are concentrating. It's so funny that all 3 of them do it.
Ben loved eating his own cake. He thought he was so big. He has 5 teeth now so I guess he is getting big:)
More toys!!! Ben didn't really open any of his own presents but he sure had fun watching the other kids open them.
Yum cake. I'm so grateful for my little Benner Dennis. I don't know what I would do without this wild man.
