Christmas 2009

We had Christmas in good ole Wyoming this year. It was freezing cold but we were nice and warm in our Christmas jammies.
Here's a little action shot Christmas morning of Tator making a basket with his new basketball hoop. Too bad all the kid wants to play with is the Wii. He's addicted to Mario.
Christmas was so fun this year!! It was smaller than we are used to there were only 7 people in my mom's house on Christmas morning. This is Ben and Nate in their Christmas monkey pj's they got from each other on Christmas Eve.

Nate got his basketball and bowling like he wanted and tons of other stuff. Here he is in his goggles and construction hat.

Here is our family picture Christmas morning. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!

Pre Christmas Fun

This was Nates idea of decorating our Christmas tree. He was so excited he didn't even want to take the ornaments out of the box.
Here is Nate in front of our real Christmas tree. Thanks for breaking our fake one last year Jana. This one is so much better. It smells good too.
Here is Nathan meeting Santa for the first time. He would just follow him around. it was so cute.
Nate wants a basket ball hoop and bowling this year for Christmas and he made sure santa knew it. When Santa was leaving he was running after him yelling I want basket ball and bowling.
Ben's first Christmas. He didn't care too much we woke him up to get this picture.

We let Nathan pick out our Christmas tree all by himself this year. I asked him if he was going to get a big tree or a little one and he said" a teeny one like tator". He did such a good job. I'm so excited for Christmas this year. Nate gets the whole Santa thing and we are teaching him about Jesus. We set out our nativity and he said it's baby Jesus and then he said a prayer "dear Heavenly Father thank you for Jesus thank you for Christmas amen." it was kind of random but oh so cute. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Thanksgiving 2009

Shane testing out his turkey. He put it in some brine over night or something like that. All I know is that it was good good good.
Mom being sick. We think she might talk herself into being sick every time she leaves the house.
Daine having a pre-thanksgiving snack.
I know it's a little late but better late than never. Thanksgiving was pretty fun this year. We went to Denver to visit my sister and her family. My brother-in-law got Kevin's name for Christmas and he bought him some sweet broncos tickets for the Thanksgiving game. We were so close and right on the 50 yard line. It was awesome. Thanks Luke.
None of us have really ever cooked a thanksgiving dinner so here we are making our first batch of rolls. They turned out really really good. Good job Lori!!!
Don't they look so yummy?
Here we are making stuffed mushrooms. I accidentally bought maple sausage for them instead of regular. They were still ok just a little sweet.
Kevin is always trying to take these reflection pics this one makes me laugh a little.
Here is Nate and Ben Playing someones i-touch. Good thing there was three of them there.

Here are the teenies playing with the pots and pans. Ryan is first then Brandon!! I love these babies.

Another birthday party for Tator...

I know I know it's a little crazy we had 2 parties and took him to build a bear. I just don't know when to stop. Above is Bronwyn, Jocelyn and Nate waiting their turn to bowl.
Again Tator is more excited about playing with the computer than actually bowling.
Above is Jocie again. Isn't she so cute. I think she ended up winning out of the kids. Or it could have been Lizzie I can't remember. Below is Jana and little benner. Pay no attention to the fact that Nate is wearing the same clothes he wore the day before at build a bear and that Ben is still in his jammies.

Build a Bear!

My sister Melanie got Nate a build a bear gift card for his Birthday. On his actual birthday we took him to go and get it. He was really excited. Kevin helped him pick out this really cute puppy.
Here he is cheezin' up at the bath station.
Here is little benner along for the ride. I had to throw this pic in cause I thought ben looked so cute:) And below is Nate dog with his favorite part the computer. We had a hard time convincing him to actually build his bear before we went to the computers. He certainly is my little "computer geek" like father like son.

Nates Birthday!!!

So my little tator tot turned 3. I can't believe that Nate is 3. We waited for so long to have kids and now that they are here it seems like time is flying. I can't tell you how much I love this kid. He is so funny, cute, loving and smart. Everyday he says the funniest things to me I don't know what I would do without him. Here are some pics of his "friend birthday party". He had so much fun he woke up the next morning wanting another party.
So I was alittle frustrated with the cake because the first batch didn't turn out so I ended up making 2 any way it took a long time. I was saying to kevin stupid cake I hate it. Then I went into the computer room and tator says to me " it's not stupid mom it's way cute".
Here is tator and some of his toys. This kids is spoiled
Tator and the "way cute" train cake.

Tagged

My friend Natalie tagged me to write 10 random things about myself. This will be easy because I am super random.
1. I love to sleep love love love love love it. Luckily my kids have inherited that from me. Good job boys.
2. I still hold the Rock Springs High School weight lifting record. I was able to squat 300 lbs. This was more than all but 4 boys on the football team.
3. In kindergarten I once took a huge garbage bag of stuff to show and tell and I took up the whole show and tell time. ( My mom told me I couldn't but when she was in the bathroom I opened the front door and hid it in the bushes and picked it up on my way to school).
4. I had a paper route from the time I was 12-15. One day on my route I was walking past a huge weed in someones yard and found 2 dollars and then on the way to school I looked under the same weed and there was 2 more dollars.
5. This one is kind of gross but interesting at the same time. I can peal off my lip skin at least once a day. I can sometimes pull it off in one long strip. I know it's gross I can't help it.
6. I have double jointed thumbs. I can make it so they are backwards. I can also pop my hip out of joint and back in.
7. I'm afraid to tell you all this one but most of you already know. I hate it when people whistle. It's like nails on a chalk board to me. This hatred came from working with this girl at baskin robbins who would whistle all the time. Not a good loud whistle but an airy weak whistle through her teeth. I cringe just thinking about it.
8. My top 3 most embarrassing moments have to do with my underwear.
9. I'm only 4 feet 10 1/2 inches tall. My mom used to tell people I got a handicap scholarship to college. Thanks mom I really appreciate that one.
10. Last but not least Kevin caught me falling in the ocean on video. I will attach it for your viewing pleasure.

I tag Brittany, Kim, Heather( if you still have your blog you made for class) , Emily (my cousin) and Melita since you haven't posted anything in forever.

Swine Flu

It's official we all have the swine flu. We took Ben and Nate to instacare on Sunday (because our kids never can get sick during the week when we can go to our regular Doc) and they tested Ben for the swine flu and it came back positive. I have been sick since last Wednesday and then Nathan started getting sick Friday or Saturday. Kevin is just barely starting his sickness. Wish us luck in getting better. I hope and pray no one else gets this cause it's pure HELL.

Halloween!!

This was the second of many trick or treating events that we went to. Here we have Ben, Mady, Hazel, Daxton, Nathan, Macie, Ellie, Jack and Spencer. We took them to the high school to trunk or treat. As you can tell Nathan just loved his costume again. I really need to rethink my costume ideas for this poor kid. Every year I spend hours on his costumes and he always just ends up being a puppy. Next year maybe I will just start out with a puppy but probably not. I'm a slow learner.

Here is Nathan and Ashton at the Alphagraphics party again Nathan is super happy to wear McQueen. These boys are so cute.
Here is Kevin wearing the stop sign I made him. It was supposed to be a theme but I didn't end up making a costume for me or Ben. Oh well.
This is Ben as a ghost at Kevin's work party.

This picture makes me laugh. About 10 minutes after all the kids left trick or treating I get a knock on the door thinking it was some trick or treaters nope just my little tator. He was done after only 5 houses. Kevin said he just sat in the middle of the road and said he was done.
Here is Ben on Halloween dressed like a skeleton. Isn't he so cute !!!
Here are the Payne kids. They came here to go out to dinner with us for Jana's b-day. So they went trick or treating here. My sister always makes awesome costumes.
Here is Jana as Minnie Mouse. She went with the kids trick or treating since she bought a costume for our Family party that we didn't have. Oh well she still looked cute.
We usually have this awesome Halloween party with my family with tons of costumes, candy, games, and scary things. This year no such luck it was canceled :( So what did the Gibsons do instead? We had a party of our own. Our friends came over Friday and carved pumpkins. It was really fun and we had some awesome pumpkins. Kevin decided he was bored so he skinned his pumpkin that's why it looks so creepy. I can't believe we actually got a picture with us and all the kids.
Here are all the kids minus the 2 babies (Ben and Lucy). This is tator and most of his playgroup friends. I just love how Hazel is making Daxton cry. It reminds me of how Macie used to make Tator cry all the time and sometimes still does. That was just some of our busy Halloween adventures. Now I'm at home sick with 2 sick boys. We think we all have the swine flu. Fun for us. Can't wait til next year. HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
